Getting To School Safely

E-mail this product to a friend

Your hosts, Samantha and Robert, go on a field trip with their mini-cam to explore all the various ways that children use to get to school.

They film kids on the school bus, riding their bikes, walking, skateboarding and being driven to school by their parents/caregivers. First we see the wrong way or the bad habits that children pick up - pushing and shoving on the bus, not wearing helmets, crossing the road between parked cars, wearing headphones on bikes, along with many others.

With the help of Constable Davis, viewers are then shown the correct and safe way to get to school. Your students will learn important bus, bike, pedestrian, skateboard and car/driving rules. Throughout, the video emphasizes the theme of “being responsible” for one’s self and one’s actions.

This program is invaluable to your elementary classes and is sure to be a hit amongst both students and their parents.
